Important health update.

COVID-19 Update

Our aim is to keep our patients, their families, staff and our doctors safe during this pandemic. There is no cause for panic, but a measured, and sensible response to decrease the risks to all patients is required.

Current principles

  • Advise on testing, isolate and triage suspected cases
  • Protect non-infected patients
  • Protect employees and doctors
  • Continue to run our services with minimal impact
  • Participate in wider health sector and community responses

We ask that all patients:

  • Advise your surgeon of any recent overseas travel or any flu-like symptoms.
  • If possible, make all payments to Advanced Anaesthetics over the phone by credit card
  • Any consults required prior to surgery may be conducted over the phone or by teleconference. We will advise you if this is required
  • Self-quarantine where possible and avoid non-urgent outings and group gatherings
  • If you have any questions or concerns regarding your surgery please contact your surgeon

We thank you for your understanding.

With restrictions lifting over the coming weeks it is still vital everyone follows the SA Health guidelines for social distancing, non-urgent outings and group gatherings. We are not out of the woods yet and need to make sure we avoid a ‘Second Wave’ of infection and undo all our good work.

We have however reopened the office and have resumed in-office consultations. We still ask that you only attend the office if necessary and call ahead to advise us if you will be coming in.

Strict social distancing, screening and hygiene measures will need to be followed for anyone coming in for a consultation. You will be asked screening questions when you first book your consultation. One of our friendly staff will call you 2 days before your consultation with some follow up screening questions and to see how you are feeling. We ask that you only bring one support person with you for your consultation if necessary.

We will ask you to use hand sanitiser while with us and following safe distancing measures. Please let us know if you feel unwell at any time.
